bioGenous™ Human Gastric Epithelial Organoid Kit is a serum-free culture medium for human gastric epithelial organoids derived from adult stem cells, allowing for both primary culture and long-term culture. The organoids exhibit key characteristics of the gastric epithelium, including gastric stem cells (LGR5+), gastric epithelial cells (PCK+), chief cells (PGC+), mucous neck cells (MUC6+), and rare enteroendocrine cells (SST+). Upon transitioning to the maintenance medium for long-term culture, the organoids continue to exhibit these cell types along with mucous pit cells (MUC5AC+). Human gastric epithelial organoids display hallmarks of the gastric epithelium in terms of architecture, cell type composition, and self-renewal dynamics, therefore hold great promise for studies of human gastric epithelial homeostasis and disease.
